How do you feel knowing that Lady Liberty is actually Egypt?

I don’t know how many of you know this already, but the statue of “liberty” was actually made in France for Egypt, it’s supposed to be representing “Egypt carrying the light to Asia”. But at that time, they had some financial problems in Egypt so they couldn’t pay for it, and we raised some lotteries and some charities in order to buy it from France cause they couldn’t give it as a gift cause they were also having some financial problems. The dress is what the peasent women in Egypt wear and the torshe represents the light that Egypt is carrying to Asia (Middle East) cause at that time Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and all the other countries were doing nothing but raising goats and 1 out of 100 could read or write.
Funny how time is changing and now Egypt has been ruled by dictators since the 1950s and the surrounding countries are rich in petrol, and we are having a female Egyptian peasent representing our freedom.
Just answer with what you think about this.

I believe it doesn’t matter much which country takes it. The USA eventually found a symbol representing New York. Egypt remains, and since Ancient History, have the pyramids as a very important symbol.

You will find a lot of stories like that where a certain problem shifted the big story towards a different turn. For example in early 20th century Egypt exchanged a piece of border land with Libya. Several years later, Libyans excavated oil in that very piece… Destiny
